Mystics earn 85-73 victory in Moncton

n a tightly contested matchup, the Crandall Chargers gave the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics all they could handle, but the visitors pulled away and secured a 85-76 victory in ACAA men's basketball action.
Both teams came out strong, trading baskets and keeping the game within reach. The Chargers fed off the energy of their home crowd, knocking down key shots and battling hard on the boards to keep pace with the Mystics' fast-paced offense.
As the game progressed, MSVU found their rhythm, capitalizing on key possessions and tightening up defensively in the final minutes. Crandall fought to the end, but the Mystics' ability to execute down the stretch made the difference.
Leading the way for the Mystics was Jaydan Smith who netted 23 points and four rebounds. Isaiah Cromwell-Wright added 15 points and four rebounds, while Isaac Matheson chipped in 14 in the win.
Marc Hoffer was the top performer for Crandall, scoring 26 points in the loss. Daniel Hawkes and Devon Glenn added another 19 and 10 points, respectively in the loss.
Both teams face off again tomorrow with tip-off at 3:00pm
