STU Wins 3-1 Over Crandall Chargers

Fredericton, NB-STU Tommies came back with another victory after their recent loss in Saint John; Tommies beat Crandall University Chargers 3-1. 

The match unfolded with a strong start for STU in the first set, marked by back-to-back kills from Brenton Romanchuk, leading to a 25-16 first-set win. The Tommies extended the lead, winning the second set 25-13.

Crandall rallied back to claim the third set 25-18 and keep the game alive. The Tommies maintained their composure and sealed the win in the fourth set with a score of 25-17.

"I think we performed pretty well; we felt very composed. We were able to put the ball in the second half of the game, which helped us a lot to secure the 4th set. Next game will be my first road trip to Sainte-Anne, looking forward to it. It should be fun; it will be tough competition, but we are feeling good," Tim Juvonen said after the game.

Colby Rhese led the Chargers with 7 kills, while Brenton Romanchuk led the Tommies offense with 9 kills. Sam Tigley contributed 12 assists for the Chargers, and Raph Fiset led the Tommies with 19 assists.

The next game for the Tommies will be against the University of Sainte-Anne on November 18, while the Chargers will play against Holland College.
