Tommies Win in the fifth set against the Chargers

Fredericton, NB—STU Tommies secured a win 3-2 against the Crandall Chargers, breaking a streak of back-to-back losses. 

The match kicked off with an early advantage for STU, claiming the first set 25-22. However, Crandall responded, taking the second set 25-19. Tommies regained the lead by winning the third set 24-20, but Crandall refused to back down, winning the fourth set 25-22 and forcing the game into a decisive fifth set. Tommies won the fifth set 15-8. 

"Big win for us tonight. We played strong. Crandall put up a good fight, obviously with some mistakes, but we pulled through at the end. We need to keep the same energy to keep getting more wins," Elle Kilburn said.

Noteworthy performances in the game included Crandall's Janelle Blanchette with 10 kills and Jolie Allain with 13 kills. For the Tommies, Kathleen Boyle led the team with 12 kills, while Elle Kilburn contributed 5.

STU Tommies will face DAL AC on November 18, seeking to carry the momentum, while Crandall University will take on MSVU.
