MONCTON, NB - UNBSJ Seawolves edge out the Crandall Chargers 1-0 in a yellow card riddled matchup.
The Chargers may have played their best 90 minutes of soccer on Friday evening at CN Sportsplex connecting on long passes and moving the ball well up through the midfield.
Luke Knowles put together a quality showing for Crandall putting multiple corner kicks into the box and nearling scoring on a free kick. Knowles would also end up getting a yellow card in the 81st minute.
The lone goal of the night came courtesy of Seawolves' Tosin Abe in the 55th minute of play.
Crandall had their opportunities late in the game as the team pushed hard applying pressure to UNBSJ including a rocket shot from Lucas Zuffo that bounced off the Seawolves keeper, the ball would find its way to Paul Agada who was unable to control the ball into the empty net.
Crandall are still winless on the season with the opportunity to change that on Wednesday, Oct. 11 as they host Dal AC with the Rams winning a close 2-1 game earlier this year.
