Crummey Scores Breakaway; Chargers Win 1-0 Over Rams

MONCTON, NB - Crandall Chargers get their first victory of the season, winning 1-0 over the Dalhousie AC Rams.

Micah Crummey broke free behind the Rams' back line and shot a rocket to the top right corner in the 18th minute recording the lone goal of the match. Crummey's goal was his second of the year, both of which have come against Dalhousie AC. Crummey led the Chargers in all offensive stats with his goal, and putting three of his five shots on net.

Peter Woodward led the Rams placing all three of his shots on goal while teammates Ben Lauther and Graham Woodward would each account for two shots on goal.

Chargers Goalie, Noah Miller recorded his first clean sheet of the year turning away all 11 shots on goal he faced.

Crandall will look to build on their success as they will travel to face MSVU and UKC over the weekend. The Chargers' final home game of the year will be next Wednesday, Oct. 18th as they will host the STU Tommies and will honour their graduating seniors prior to kickoff.
