STU Spoil Grad Night, Win 6-0 Over Crandall

MONCTON, NB - The STU Tommies hand Crandall a 6-0 loss in the Chargers final home game of the year.

Prior to kick-off, Crandall honoured their graduating seniors, Samuel Tingley. Luke Sullivan, Luke Knowles, Micah Crummey and Christian Sheen

The Tommies jumped into an early lead as William Benoit opened the scoring in the second minute of play.

Once on the board STU would string together 15 minutes of soccer that Crandall wished they could get back as Chidubem Nkoloagu (15', 18') and Josh Oakes (19', 29') each scored twice in the opening half.

Oakes would complete his hat-trick with a goal in the final minute of regulation to cap the Tommies' 6-0 Victory.

Crandall had their opportunities to get themselves back into the game in the second half. Jacob Agbor buried a free kick from 30 metres out only to have it waved off as the kick was indirect. Just a few minutes later the Chargers would mount a beautiful string of passes down the far side of the field but had a second goal waved off, this time being called offsides.

The Chargers will cap their season over the weekend as they will first head to Fredericton to take on STU before their final match of the year in Saint John against UNBSJ.
