Luc Blanchette commits to Chargers Cross Country

MONCTON, NB -  Crandall Chargers Cross Country team continue to add depth to their roster with the addition of Luc Blanchette (Dieppe, NB).

Blanchette is a recent graduate of École Mathieu-Martin high school in Dieppe. He will be enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Crandall University, beginning his studies in September.

When asked why he chose Crandall, Blanchet answered: "I chose Crandall so that I could pursue my passion for running and further develop myself as a runner, as well as get a good education."

Blanchette comes to the Chargers after showcasing his running abilities in high school, finishing 17th in the senior's boy's race at the 2021 NBIAA Cross Country Championship. As well as a member of the Athlétisme Sud-Est / South-East Athletics (ASEA) Track and Field Club, he placed 5th and 11th in the U20 800m and 1500m races, respectively, at the 2022 Canadian Indoor Track and Field Championships.

"As an Assistant Coach at ASEA, I've assisted in Luc's training and have seen a consistently high work ethic from him over the past year." Said Chargers Cross Country Head Coach, Brandon Leblanc. "Luc will add much-needed depth to an already strong men's team, and I expect [he] will quickly climb the rankings and challenge for position as he continues to develop."
