Lydia Bodechon Joins Chargers Cross Country

MONCTON, NB - Crandall Chargers bolster their Women's roster with the addition of Lydia Bodechon (Quispamsis, NB).

Bodechon has a background in the triathlon, being named the Female Athlete of the Year by Triathlon New Brunswick and is training in hopes to represent New Brunswick at the upcoming 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Bodechon will join Crandall after graduating from Kennebecasis Valley High School and will be enrolled in the Claystone program before continuing into the Bachelor of Arts program, majoring in Kinesiology.

"I chose Crandall because I think it will be a great opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and find friends with the same interests as me." Said Bodechon on why she opted to commit to Crandall University.

When asked about the new recruit Head Coach, Brandon Leblanc had this to say. "Lydia is a standout triathlete with a high degree of fitness and a wide-range of general sporting abilities. As she transitions towards sport-specific training in cross country, I believe Lydia has the potential to become a high performing member of our women's team, and to encourage her teammates to up their game and reach new heights."
