Hurricanes Win 3-0 over Chargers

MONCTON, NB - Chargers lose in fifth set heartbreaker, Hurricanes win 3-2 (16-25, 22-25, 25-8, 25-19, 15-9).

 

After taking the first two sets the Crandall Chargers were unable to secure the win, dropping the following three sets to the Holland Hurricanes.

 

The Hurricanes routinely got involved at the net throughout the match, getting their hands up for blocks and slowing down the Chargers' attack.

 

Janelle Blanchette led the Chargers with 14.5 combined points recording 12 kills, 2 aces, and a blocking assist while also recording 8 digs second only to Libero Sara-Maude Malenfant who had 9 digs.

 

Morgan White and Jenna O'Neil each recorded 14 kills for the Hurricanes.

 

The Chargers are on the road for their next two matches as they will head to Pointe-de-l'Église, Nova Scotia on Friday to take on the Université Sainte-Anne Dragons before heading to Truro, Nova Scotia on Saturday to face off against the Dalhousie AC Rams. The Chargers previously beat the Dragons 3-0 earlier this year and have yet to face the Rams
