Chargers Win 3-1 Over Rams To Conclude Season

MONCTON, NB - The Crandall Chargers capped off their season with a 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20) victory over the Dalhousie AC Rams.

Before the opening serve the Chargers recognized a pair of graduating athletes, Sara-Maude Malenfant and Janelle Blanchette, both players will be graduating with a B.A. in Psychology.

The Rams took the opening set but Crandall would make the adjustments and not let the stage get too big, closing it out and taking the following three sets.

Melora Cook led the Chargers with 19 points coming from 15 kills, a pair of service aces, and two solo blocks.

In her last outing in the blue and gold, Blanchette had 45 hitting attempts, converting with 11 kills. Blanchette would go on to record 9 digs and 6 service aces and is currently the Chargers' all-time stats leader in kills, digs, and aces.

Ashley Rideout and Callie Immerkar each recorded 10 kills for the Rams with Immerkar leading her team with 13 total points.

The Chargers continued to grow and develop the program under first-year Head Coach, Victoria Eadle. The team had their most winningest season with a 6-12 record and only narrowly missing out on the playoffs.
