MONCTON, NB - The STU Tommies were too much for the Crandall Chargers on Saturday evening, Tommies won 88-45.

 

It was the second meeting between these two teams in just over a week. STU has won both games hosted by Crandall this season.

 

Randi Ross was forced to earn her points the hard way as STU held her to a shooting line of 1-10 from the field. Ross went to the Free-Throw line for 16 shots over the course of the game, converting on 8 to lead the Chargers with 10 total points.

 

Olivia Hanham and Ellie Hiltz have seen their playing time increase significantly since the second-half of the season. Hanham scored 8 points and brought in 5 rebounds for the Chargers while Hiltz scored 7 points and came down with 10 total rebounds.

 

Paige Leblanc had a night to remember, shooting .500% from the field including 6 from beyond the arc for a team high 29 points for the Tommies. Leblanc currently leads the ACAA in 3pt shooting percent with 46.3%.

 

Celine Sterckel put up 25 points for the Tommies while leading the team with 8 total rebounds.

 

The Chargers will play their next three games on the road before returning to Crandall Feb 4th. Next Weekend Crandall will head to Halifax, NS to take on MSVU (10-1) and UKC (8-2), the top two teams in the league.
