Simona Romano commits to join Chargers Women’s Soccer

MONCTON, NB - The Chargers Women’s Soccer team are pleased to announce the signing of Simona Romano ( Newmarket, ON). Romano will be enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program, majoring in Kinesiology, beginning this September.

 

The 5’8” Romano will add depth to the Chargers defence, capable of playing both the centre and full back positions.  Graduating from Cardinal Carter Catholic High School, Romano ended her highschool career with the Celtics finishing second in the York Catholic District School board and gaining entry into the Ontario Provincial Championships (OFSAA). 

 

Head Coach, Kevin Talbot described Romano as “Solid as a rock… [This] first year recruit will add some height and physicality to our already strong back line.”
