Mystics Edge Out Chargers 1-0

MONCTON, NB - The Mount Saint Vinvent University Mystics pulled out a 1-0 win over the Crandall Chargers on Sunday afternoon.

Playing their third game this week the Chargers played a very strong first half of the match showcasing little to no effects of a busy week. However, a Crandall injury in the dying minutes of the first frame would see the team take make adjustments after the break and change their gameplan from a balanced attack, switiching into a preventative tactic.

The lone goal of the game came in the 60th minute of play as Mystics Aidean Whelan was able to find the back of the net.

Chargers Goal Keeper, Noah Miller had his hands full coming up with 10 saves on the day including multiple acrobatic saves in one-on-one situatitions.

The Mystics did a good job turning away several Chargers opportunities lending a hand to a clean sheet kept by Keeper Tristan Brocklehurst who turned away all four shots on goal he faced.

Crandall are still looking for their first win of the season and will have ample time to rest and impliment a gameplan as they host Holland College next Saturday, Sept. 30th at Harrison Trimble Highschool.
