Hurricanes Blow Chargers Away 7-0

MONCTON, NB - Holland Hurricanes came into Moncton and blew away the Crandall Chargers 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Holland took control of the game right out of the gate as Mohammad Alhaj Ali found the back of the net twice in the opening minutes, scoring in the 3rd and 6th minute, respectively.

Vinicius Boyd had a near-perfect game recording a hat-trick (42',52',60') while putting 5 of his 6 shots on goal.

Clay Kelly was the remaining goal scorer for Holland, netting one in the 65th minute.

A defensive miscommunication led to a Crandall own-goal in the 71st minute.

Crandall made late substitutions in the match including Andres Cardenas who made his Chargers debut by pushing the ball downfield and recording the lone shot on goal, coming off an awarded free kick.

Crandall will next play on Friday, Oct. 6th against UNBSJ in the rescheduled match that was postponed due to Hurricane Lee. Kickoff is set for 8:15 PM at CN Sportsplex, field 3.
