MONCTON, NB - Université Sainte-Anne Dragons win in three straight sets (29-27, 25-19, 25-20) to end the Crandall Chargers' inaugural season.
Before the first serve the Chargers recognized Sam Tingley on his upcoming graduation with a Bachelor of Arts.
The Chargers duo of Colby Rhese and Shane Huggard each accounted for 9.5 points. Rhese recorded 8 kills, 1 ace, and a blocking assist while Huggard had 7 kills, 2 aces, and a blocking assist.
Liam Pellitier led the Dragons with 16 points coming from 14 kills and a pair of service aces.
Regardless of being swept the Chargers kept the match competitive in all three sets and put together arguably their best performance in front of a home crowd this season.
The Chargers will end their first season in the ACAA with a 1-15 record under head coach Garret West and will look to continue to grow the program now with a full season of experience under their belt.
