MONCTON, NB - The Crandall Chargers Women's Basketball team have added to their roster with the signing of Mattea Hansen (Fredericton, NB).
Hansen is a 5'8" Guard from Fredericton New Brunswick, graduating from Fredericton HIghschool where she won three AAA Provincial Championships with the Black Kats.
Hansen collected the Coaches Choice Award for her club team after helping to win the 2022 U18 Provincial Championship. Through Basketball New Brunswick Hansen has been named to the Provincial team and will represent New Brunswick in the upcoming 2022 Canada Games in Niagara Falls.
"I chose Crandall for the school and team environment." Hansen explained when asked what made her select Crandall. "Everyone was super inviting and I'm very excited to be part of the Crandall Chargers community. I hope to contribute to the team as much as I can both offensively and defensively [while] adjust[ing] quickly to the team as a first year player."
Starting in September, Hansen will begin her studies in the Bachelor's of Science program, majoring in Biology at Crandall University.
