Mystics Spoil Chargers Home-Opener 93-49

MONCTON, NB - Mystics come out victorious, spoil Chargers home-opener 93-49.

Mount Saint VIncent University (MSVU) Mystics took control of the game early and never let off the gas. Applying a full court press the Mystics took away the Chargers passing lanes, forcing 35 turnovers which they were able to convert into 49 points.

Shania Glenn led the Chargers in scoring with 12 points coming from a pair from beyond the arc, one from the floor and going a perfect 4-4 from the line. 

Kelsey Alward led the Charges with 10 total rebounds coming down with 8 defensive and a pair of offensive boards, respectively.

MSVU was led by Nalini Maharaj who accounted for 24 of the Mystics' points going 8-5 from the field with a pair of 3's and going a perfect 6-6 from the line. Maharaj also led her team with 10 total rebounds. 

 Amanda Pearcy also had a strong showing for MSVU with 21 points and 4 turnovers.

Crandall will look to turn their season around next Sunday as the team travels to Saint John to take on the winless UNBSJ Seawolves.
