Holland Hurricanes Roll Past Chargers 83-39

MONCTON, NB - Holland Hurricanes Roll Past Chargers 83-39.

The Holland College Hurricanes swiftly handled the Crandall Chargers on Saturday afternoon, handing the Chargers their 4th straight loss.

Crandall was keeping pace with the Hurricanes in the opening quarter, trailing by 6 after 10 minutes. Holland would make their adjustments, out-scoring the Chargers by 17 points in both the second and third quarter.

Holland was able to capitalize on the height advantage over Crandall, high-pointing 51 team rebounds led by Lauren Armstrong with 14 total.

There was a familiar face in the building as Alexa Rancourt made her return to Crandall now as a member of the HOlland HUrricanes. Rancourt scored 19 points going 8-10 from the field and 2-4 from the line. 

Kylee Balser led the Chargers in scoring with 13 points going 6-13 from the field and 1-2 from the foul line. Balser would go on to also lead the Chargers in rebounding with a combined 11 boards.

The Chargers will cap the first half of their season with back-to-back games against Mount Allison. Crandall will host the (2-1) Mounties on Friday night in their final home game in 2023.
