MONCTON, NB - The Crandall Chargers Women's Basketball team is pleased to announce the signing of Michaela Hansen (Fredericton, NB).
Hansen is a 5'8 guard from Fredericton NB, claiming the AAA Provincial Championships in 2020 for the Black Kats and a pair of championship titles during her junior years. In her senior year, Hansen was the recipient of the Rick Cotter Award for her commitment and dedication to the game.
As well as having a prolific high school resume Hansen is a provincial-level talent as a member of the U18 New Brunswick Basketball team. Hansen will be representing team New Brunswick in the upcoming 2022 Canada Games in Niagara Ontario.
"I really like the atmosphere at Crandall, everyone was super welcoming and the team environment seems really great." Said Hansen when asked about her decision to commit to Crandall. "I have a lot of determination and drive, whether it be in athletics or academics I always want to push myself to do my best and improve"
Hansen is enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program at Crandall University with a double major in Psychology and Biology and will begin her courses in September.
