Seawolves Shock Chargers, Win 76-68

MONCTON, NB - The UNBSJ upset the Crandall Chargers 76-68 on Friday evening.

 

The Seawolves worked hard all game long and were able to capitalize on second-chance opportunities, converting 10 offensive rebounds into 17 points scored compared to the Chargers 6 boards for 4 points. 

 

Ethan Szemerda was the scoring leader for the Seawolves with 26 points and put up 14 points in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach for the Chargers.

 

Gabriel Cormier went 10-17 shooting from the field and 1-3 from the line to lead the Chargers with 21 points scored.

 

The Chargers are currently on a three-game losing streak but will look to turn things back around as they will face STU on the road on Wednesday evening followed by another road game on Sunday against  MSVU before returning home to close out the regular season against UKC.
