Chargers Win 87-67 Over Blue Devils

MONCTON, NB – The Crandall Chargers gift their home fans an 87-67 victory over the UKC Blue Devils in final home of the season.

Before tip-off the Chargers took a moment to recognize their graduating seniors, Sam Moore, Keegan Gray, Daniel Hawkes, Gabriel Cormier, Sacha Gauthier, and Devon Glenn.

Coming out of the gates hot, the Blue Devils took an early lead and would go back and forth before Crandall pulled ahead midway through the second quarter.

Daniel Hawkes went off in the first half for the Chargers, including draining 4 baskets from beyond the arc scoring for 15 points. Hawkes would be held to a single bucket in the second half of the game but his 17 total points was enough to be the team leader for Crandall.

Caleb Rennie went on to be the points leader for UKC with 15 points followed closely by teammate Tariq Armstrong with 14. Armstrong fouled out of the game late in the third quarter.

The Chargers will end the regular season with a 9-9 record and will head to Holland College next weekend for the ACAA Championship.
