Chargers Sweep Dragons 3-0

MONCTON, NB - Crandall Chargers Sweep Universite Sainte-Anne Dragons 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-18)

Jolie Allain had a night to remember with an outstanding performance at the service line with 9 service aces. During the second set, Allain had back-to-back aces to which the Dragons called a timeout but that would not throw off her rhythm as coming from the time out she had her third ace in a row. During the next rotation, Allain would once again find the soft spot in the defense and put down another back-to-back set of aces.

The Chargers made a switch in the starting line moving Sara-Maude Malenfant into the Libero position to allow Amy Le Blang to come in to sure up the defensive back line and serve for Brianna Rancourt.

Kyanna Brideau was the go-to option for the Dragons getting nearly double the amount of attempts of any of her teammates with 18, 5 of which she was able to convert into points.

Already tying last year's win total with two the Chargers will look to achieve new program heights on Sunday afternoon as they head to Fredericton to take on the STU Tommies. The two teams met just a week ago with the Tommies just edging out the Chargers in a 3-2 thriller. The first set is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
