Chargers beat Tommies in a thrilling 5 set match

MONCTON, NB - The Crandall Chargers won 3-2 (28-26, 25-13, 23-25, 22-25, 15-12) in a thrilling showdown against the STU Tommies on Saturday afternoon.

 

Extra points were needed to decide the first set, with the Chargers ultimately taking the first two sets. STU would not go easy though, fighting through and claiming the next pair of sets before the Chargers closed the door once and for all in the fifth.

 

Jolie Allain was on fire recording 21 kills on 55 attempts for the Chargers while also recording a pair of blocking assists.

 

Haley Legacy recorded 15 total points for the Chargers, with 6 service aces, 7 kills, and 4 blocking assists.

 

The Chargers currently hold a 4-8 record and are currently and will look to gain ground in the playoff chase tomorrow afternoon as they host the 6-6 Holland Hurricanes. The last time the two teams faced off the Hurricanes won 3-0 at home.
