Eadle Selected to Lead Chargers Women’s Volleyball

A Gallagher Ridge native, Eadle spent last season as an Assistant Coach with the Crandall Chargers and is quickly making a name for herself as one of New Brunswick's rising young coaching talents. She started coaching high-level volleyball in 2014/15 with the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Elite Volleyball Training Centre before moving on to work with the Reds Volleyball Club's 16U High-Performance Team. In 2019, she took on her first head-coaching role, leading the Bernice MacNaughton High School Women's Volleyball program.
 
"We're excited to have Victoria on board as the new head coach of our women's program," said Jim Druart, Crandall's Director of Athletics & Recreation. "She brings a wealth of experience as an elite athlete and has been working hard to become an elite coach. She has a great ability to take her knowledge and pass it on to her players, and we believe that she will take us to the next level in the development of our program." 
 
Before her coaching career, Eadle was as an elite provincial athlete, twice representing New Brunswick at the Canada Games and National Team Challenge Cup as a member of the provincial volleyball team. She also made her mark in Atlantic University Sport (AUS) with the UNB Reds, collecting several awards including the 2014 USport All-Rookie Team, 2014 AUS Rookie of the Year, and 2014 AUS Second Team All-Star. In 2018 and 2019, she was named an AUS First Team All-Star.
 
"Throughout my 10+ years of playing, I've been fortunate enough to be coached by the best that New Brunswick has to offer," said Eadle when asked about her journey from player to coach. "Luckily for me, I have those same coaches in my corner as I begin this new journey. Being surrounded by competitive, hardworking, and eager-to-learn athletes has made the transition from a highly competitive player to a coach so easy." 
 
Eadle will take over a talented roster with lots of potential. "I believe that a winning season is just around the corner," Eadle said when asked what her immediate plans are to transition the Chargers from being competitive to a winning team. "My goal for them this off-season is to really focus on their individual skill sets. I believe this will help with their self-confidence and trust in their teammates. Once a base is built, I don't see any stopping from this team."
