Jack Hillier Commits to Chargers Volleyball

MONCTON, NB -  Chargers Men's Volleyball welcomes Outside Hitter Jack Hillier to their inaugural roster.

 

The 6-foot left-side hitter comes to Moncton from Gander, Newfoundland a recent graduate of Gander Collegiate High School playing for both his school and the Loopers Volleyball Club.

 

Hillier led his team to an outstanding 33-2 season this past year, winning five tournaments including the 4A Provincial Championship where he was awarded the Tournament Most Valuable Player Award.

 

"It means a lot to me to be a part of a team for the very first time and I feel excited to see where we can take the men's volleyball team in the future." Said Hillier about being a part of the first-ever Men's Volleyball team at Crandall University.

 

Hillier attended the Beyond the Game recruitment camp this past season and recorded the highest vertical jump of tested athletes in Canada at 39.3 inches.

 

"We are excited to have Jack join our Chargers team." Said Head Coach, Garret West. " He is an athletic and talented volleyball player who will be looked upon to anchor our serve reception and offensive game. Jack is a dedicated student-athlete, and his work ethic will be contagious to those around him. I know that Jack will have a positive impact on the volleyball court and in the locker room. "

 

Hillier will begin his studies toward his Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Kinesiology this September at Crandall University.
